becwheelerDo you think if I tagged you in a post you could tell me here if it was fake or not. I've never seen them before and tried looking them up but couldn't find. So I'm worried they might be fake.

Jan 16Reply

cookiemonstress@becwheeler, thing is I don't proclaim to be an expert in that, so I could be wrong and don't want to accuse someone, although some fakes are kind of obvious when I have the same item. Also people could be using pictures that are not the actual item, so you won't know till you buy and receive the item. If it is too cheap to be true, and you can't find the exact same item anywhere on the Internet, I'd be very careful.

Jan 16Reply

cookiemonstress@becwheeler you can also ask for more pics. I always send lots of pics when asked, I have nothing to hide. But people who seem dodgy about showing you details of the items, well that is not a good sign. In any case Posh Protect does protect you within 3 days of delivery. You can always dispute it if it turns out fake.

Jan 16Reply

cookiemonstress@becwheeler Go to a lulu store if you can and have a good look and feel of the material, design details, etc of their items to get a general idea of the quality and its look and feel. So when you receive an item you can tell if it seems "off". I hope this helps! :)

Jan 16Reply

becwheelerThank you! Just not sure how I'd be able to tell lol unless it was really obvious. They're super cute but I can't seem to find them anywhere else I may be looking them up wrong. But thanks anyway! I don't understand why people would sell fakes. It's rude! But thank you for your advice! 😊

Jan 16Reply

cookiemonstress@merci22 if people are selling fakes knowingly, they are not going to give you honest answers.....

Jan 17Reply

cookiemonstress@merci22 sometimes people take off the rip tags (I always do) and don't remember the size, so they just put in "small" for example in their ad. I always tell them where the size dot is and ask for a pic. Also, lululemon does come in S/M/L sizes.... For example the Enlighten tank and the Savasana Softshell coat

Jan 17Reply

allibou311I bought a pair and when i recived it they were obviously fake so i didnt accept offer and was able to send them back .... I told the seller if they werent authentic i would be sending back !!!

Jan 18Reply

cookiemonstress@allibou311 I would have kicked up a stink if someone sells me a fake. That is fraud.

Jan 18Reply

allibou311@cookiemonstress i was very lucky that another posher gave me a heads up that i was buying a fake ! Love how we all look out for eachother 😍👍🏻

Jan 18Reply

cookiemonstress@allibou311 I tried to do the same, as I didn't wanna diss people or suspect someone wrongly, I commented on the buyer's listing to email me (so I could tell her), but she didn't write me. Maybe some people don't mind getting an imitation as long as the price is cheap. *shrugs*

Jan 18Reply

cookiemonstress@daniellevazquez problem is there are tons of new with tags imitation. The first sign is if the hang tag is not attached to the left of the garment, but to the rip tag. That would be for sure a fake.

Mar 15Reply

cookiemonstress@daniellevazquez yes, left side when worn. You can look at all the new with tags listings here to confirm it :)

Mar 15Reply

katzkozEXCELLENT advice!! Very good for Poshers to know!

Apr 21Reply

cookiemonstress@itzelleon I have never seen a plastic covering on the size dot, and the rip tag isn't supposed to be seen in. Is the rip tag somewhat sparkly /shimmery? Real ones are, and are textured - you can run your nail up and down the front of the rip tag and you should feel some ridges. Fakes ones usually have silky looking rip tags and are smooth instead is textured. I hope this helps.

May 16Reply

cookiemonstress@itzelleon the wordings on the rip tag is supposed to be a very dark blue color. Fake ones are usually printed in black.

May 16Reply

cookiemonstress@itzelleon rip tags are not silky. When you fold it, it should crease like you fold a piece of paper.

May 16Reply

cookiemonstress@itzelleon sorry to hear you got a dud. You can return it and report the person for selling you a fake.

May 16Reply

cookiemonstress@itzelleon I hope you get your money back soon.

May 16Reply

cookiemonstressMost welcome @itzelleon

May 16Reply

ash_and08If I sent you pictures of a jacket I recently purchased on here, do you think you could tell me if it's authentic?

Jul 04Reply

cookiemonstress@ash_and08 can't guarantee but I can have a look? Lemme know if you put up a listing, mark it as not for sale and tag me. Need to see clearly the rip tag, hang tag if any, and the stitchings.

Jul 09Reply

ash_and08I'll tag you in her listing on here and take additional photos if you need...I had someone take a peek already and said it isn't a common item to be copied so it should be fine, but I'll tag you and you can tell me here if there's anything else you need ☺️

Jul 09Reply

cookiemonstress@ash_and08 ok

Jul 09Reply

cookiemonstress@ash_and08 yes it doesn't look like a commonly copied jacket. Thing is, anyone can put up photos of a genuine jacket and then send you a fake one (not that the seller is doing this, but generally speaking). Can you check the front pockets, especially the left pocket (left when worn) - is there a white size circle there with the size number?

Jul 09Reply

ash_and08There is a size for on the inside of the right pocket. I'll post some pictures for you if that's ok. Stitching you said?

Jul 09Reply

cookiemonstressHaving the size dot is a good sign. Not that fakes doesn't have size dots, but it isn't a commonly copied jacket plus with size dot - more likely it could be genuine. Is there anything that makes you think it could be a fake? The jacket is called karmacollected jacket. You can google for actual pics and see if they match yours as well. :)

Jul 09Reply

ash_and08I posted two photos between two listings and tagged you in both...hardware and stitching and such

Jul 09Reply

cookiemonstress@ash_and08 saw it, looks good. I believe it is genuine :)

Jul 09Reply

ash_and08Great, thank you!

Jul 09Reply

cookiemonstressMost welcome @ash_and08 :)

Jul 09Reply

naomi1987Could you please take a look at my listing!! I bought define jacket on ebay I have doubt that it authentic.. I would like second opinions!! Thank you!!

Aug 26Reply

cookiemonstress@naomi1987 I've reverted on your listing

Aug 26Reply

nfsaechao@cookiemonstress Hi! I didn't even know there were fake lululemon until as of recently. Would you mind telling me if I got a fake If I tag you? 1. Price was really low. 2. I've never seen this jacket before.

Jan 26Reply

cookiemonstress@nfsaechao can't promise I may know but I will try have a look :)

Jan 26Reply

desiderata_xYes! Fake lululemon here on Poshmark! Please beware. Luckily it's pretty obvious once you spot it. The logo looks authentic in pics but not in real life. The main giveaway is the name of the item. If you're not sure, google the name under which it's listed and you'll know. Also, they give out item # and measurements in their listing. They are also in Tradesy.

Feb 28Reply

desiderata_xThere's also no rip tag. I received a fake in the mail today and it was extremely obvious to me because I own a ton of lulus thanks to my lulu addiction. Contact Poshmark immediately and report accounts with fakes! Good thing is, every other lulu I bought here are authentic and most people here are very sweet.

Feb 28Reply

cookiemonstress@mchudoba thanks for sharing. Yes, sometimes sellers doesn't even know they are selling a fake, because they bought it from others and didn't know better.

Mar 01Reply

desiderata_x@cookiemonstress I agree. In my case this seller has a closet full of fake items. I hope they get shut down.

Mar 01Reply

kariann2124@cookiemonstress if the logo is not reflective, does that mean it's a fake? I just bought some "Wunder Unders" from a Posher and I have my doubts about their authenticity. I posted a comparison picture in my closet.

Apr 06Reply

cookiemonstress@kariann2124 the silver logos are all reflective on mine. I'm wondering if the pair you've bought could have been washed a lot, and now fades off? It's hard to see just from a logo. The material, stitchings, size dot etc could perhaps determine it too.

Apr 06Reply

kariann2124@cookiemonstress can you give me an idea of other things to look for? I don't have any other Wunder Unders to compare to. The logo is not reflective and the symbol doesn't quite look right to me. Did you take a look at the logo I posted?

Apr 06Reply

cookiemonstress@kariann2124 if I look just at the logo by itself, I won't be sure it is looks authentic to be honest. Other ways to determine per my earlier message, stitchings, the feel of the material, size dot, etc (if yours come without tags). Does it have a rip tag on it (the long tag sewn to the inside the pants where the waist band is)?

Apr 06Reply

kariann2124@cookiemonstress no rip tag, unfortunately.

Apr 06Reply

kariann2124@cookiemonstress I just feel like the shape of the "OM" symbol might be a little off, but I could be wrong.

Apr 06Reply

cookiemonstress@kariann2124 it does look a little off to me too...

Apr 06Reply

cookiemonstressI just saw the listing from the person who commented on your post. Was it the navy blue listing size 4? Her 3rd pic, the size dot looks real. However it seems like that pic is of a pin stripe pair, while the rest of the pics are of a navy blue pair....? That 3rd pic also looks brighter (picture quality) than the rest of all the pics.... have a look.

Apr 06Reply

cookiemonstress@kariann2124 see above

Apr 06Reply

kariann2124@cookiemonstress yes, those size 4 are the right ones. That is a very good point about the pics and the pinstriped ones in the 3rd pic. I didn't even notice that until you said something.

Apr 06Reply

cookiemonstress@kariann2124 have a look at the pair you have and check if there is a size dot or what it looks like. You can find the size dot in the pocket of waist band. Usually on the left side when worn.

Apr 06Reply

kariann2124@cookiemonstress so I just took a closer look. Pic 3 on the original post is of the pants I got. The inner waistband is actually slightly striped and a picture I took looks the same. The size dot is reflective and looks legit.

Apr 07Reply

cookiemonstress@kariann2124 in this case you will have to make the judgement call. If you don't feel that they are authentic, and the seller is allowing you to return, you will have to decide if you wish to return.

Apr 07Reply

kariann2124@cookiemonstress My return request was approved so I was able to send them back. I didn't feel confident enough that they were authentic, and apparently neither did Poshmark. Thanks so much for your help.

Apr 17Reply

simonsgirl78@cookiemonstress Just FYI, yes, sometimes the size dot AND/OR the Lululemon Mark circle come with a protective tissue or covering over them when you purchase them at Lululemon in person.... I know mine has. It's also come with a little tissue or covering over them when I ordered from Official Lululemon online store. (just to let you know....) thanks! Jossie ; ^ )

May 14Reply

simonsgirl78P.S. And you're right, the tag is usually sparkly or shimmery when brand new. However, with washing and wear, the tag fades and it loses that shimmer!

May 14Reply

cookiemonstress@simonsgirl78 the fake ones sometimes come with a plastic covering over it. I have bought lululemon from 5 different countries and maybe 150 items, but never once has it come with a protective covering over the size dot, so that is really odd to me

May 14Reply

simonsgirl78@cookiemonstress Yeah, I got a jacket at Lululemon in Corte Madera, CA and I've bought several other items there, but the jacket had a covering over the size dot! It was about 8 months ago! And it's a very high end Lululemon in one of the richest and most expensive counties in the U.S! (Marin County, CA)

May 14Reply

simonsgirl78But I'm gonna really watch it more now. And I'm going to ask the store manager next time I go there!!! Hopefully she is aware! Thank you doll. : )

May 14Reply

cookiemonstress@simonsgirl78 is it a scuba hoodie or a define jacket? Usually these 2 are the most copied fake jackets. If it isn't one of the 2, it should be fine, in case someone returns or exchange a fake one in the store, and the educator didn't notice.

May 14Reply

jspg89@nonaannc

Aug 23Reply

cookiemonstress@jspg89 I wanted to comment but the fake stuff seller has blocked me

Aug 24Reply

jspg89@cookiemonstress figures, it's crazy, I didn't purchase from him but have reported him as I know at least 2 others have, and it seems like there have been no repercussions this far.

Aug 24Reply

shayelovelyAnyone had any thoughts on seller scg12, there’s hundreds of Lulu postings, I’m a bit skeptical

Jan 24Reply

nj20172018Wow I never knew there are fake lulu, who knew, Thanks!

Mar 07Reply

subby_lubby@cookiemonstress I have a questions so I purchased some Lululemon on Poshmark and the Lululemon logo does not say Lululemon Athlete as well as Designed in Vancouver and made in Cambodia.

Mar 07Reply

cookiemonstress@subby_lubby logo? Do you mean the rip tag inside of the garment?

Mar 07Reply

subby_lubby@cookiemonstress yes the rip tag.

Mar 07Reply

avlisjacire1If i send you a pic are you able to tell me if one is a fake?

Aug 14Reply

cookiemonstress@avlisjacire1 I can try. Do you have a link to it or a listing? Seams, logo, hang tag and rip tag pics

Aug 16Reply

avlisjacire1@cookiemonstress. Yes but it wont let me list the link here...it is from another site.

Aug 16Reply

dinasarioglo@cookiemonstress hi!! I have a question for you. It seems like you know a lot about lulu. I bought a few pairs of men’s shorts with tags. What’s throwing me off is that they have a black rip tag. I can spot a fake with women’s but just not sure about these. Do they ever make rip tags in other colors?

Nov 13Reply

cookiemonstress@dinasarioglo sorry I am not familiar with men’s. :(

Nov 19Reply

lindsmckinney08Do authentic luulu pants ever have a black "OM" symbol on them rather than the typical white?

Jan 07Reply

cookiemonstress@hannahsmith23 yes, not many but yes

Jan 07Reply

lindsmckinney08@cookiemonstress thank you!

Jan 07Reply

kuhl3195@cookiemonstress Hi! I’m newer to Lulu and just bought a pair of leggings that I think might be fakes. Would you be willing to take a look? I can post some photos. They don’t have a size dot or a tag and I haven’t seen the pattern anywhere before. I tried a google search but didn’t find anything. Thanks!

Jan 15Reply

diehlkr@cookiemonstress any new garment comes with a rip tag inside, correct?!

Jan 28Reply

cookiemonstress@diehlkr yes, both the rip tag and hang tag

Jan 29Reply

christagirll@cookiemonstress I just bought two pants wjth nwt on them but she sold them so cheap it sounds too good to be true. Can I tag you on the photo to see if they seem legit or not?

Feb 05Reply

cookiemonstress@km_humphrey yes it does

Mar 18Reply

heljohJust bought a NWT lulu jacket. Not sure if it’s legit. Can you help me?

Mar 18Reply

mackkkk34@cookiemonstress if the leggings are cloth feeling are they fake?? I just purchased from a lady on here and I’ve never seen lulu crop legging with a sipper on the bottom. I revived them today and they are a size 6 like she said yet they fit like a 2. I have multiple lulus size 6 and they ALL fit and some are even big. These will not go over my thighs hardly. The martial is off they feel cloth. Can you please help me get these returned. I have 3 days.

Apr 10Reply

jumpersmom1I’m trying to find out if a pair of shorts I bought on here with tags attached were tagged with wrong color tag or re-tagged. They color is Razz pink but they look coral nothing like pink but they smell like they have been washed as well and have a few spots on them .

Apr 14Reply

2shop2luv@jumpersmom1 That happened to me as well. I took pics and Posh allowed me to return them. They had piling and stain inside!

May 09Reply

mane82@cookiemonstress I am purchasing Lululemon jacket the zipped are Lululemon symbols but no logo symbol anywhere on the jacket do you think it’s fake?? Do some Lululemon have no logo??

May 16Reply

emalee63Hello! I’m being accused of sending fake lululemon jacket because “their is no tag and all lulu has a tag or evidence of a tag being ripped out”. My jacket is NOT a fake as I spent $120 on it. How do I prove this?? I do not have the receipt.

Aug 08Reply

slashcroca13Hi there,I recently purchased leggings from a posher and I’m a bit skeptical, the size dot has a letter A on it and not a number. Is this normal?

Sep 20Reply

anacloset12Omg !!! No I didn’t know there was fake lulu leggings. I’ve bought so many now I’m just wondering if all of the once I bough are real or fake. 😳 I’m new on buying lulu so I’m not familiar with real or fake.

Sep 25Reply

triciaking381@cookiemonstress thanks for this wonderful listing with expert information! So helpful!

Oct 07Reply

cookiemonstress@slashcroca13 sorry I wasn’t active much on this app. But no, it should have a size and not simply the letter A as size.... never seen one like that

Nov 25Reply

cookiemonstress@zooeyc Asian fit lululemon comes in such sizes. Google lululemon hong kong site. Having said that, I don’t own any Asian fit ones, so I don’t know what the size dot looks like. If the item (and the seller) is not from Asia, I will have doubts the item is from Asia. Because it cost more to buy there than from Canada and USA, why would an American buy it from there (since posh’s users are american-centric). So you will have to make a judgement call on that.

Nov 25Reply

kaley113hi! I just ordered a pink lululemon swiftly tech long sleeve and I’m not sure it it is real, was wondering if you could help

Dec 07Reply

hitchhen2@cookiemonstress hi I recently bought a lululemon jacket. Can you tell me if it’s fake? The pictures are accurate- it arrived already

Feb 17Reply

vickyandjakeAs a brand new posh member, I just fell for this. I should have read more before buying. I just bought a top that I'll bet it is fake. Live and learn .

Mar 11Reply

amberashley30Hi I know you might not be able to tell but just purchased lulu leggings and I’m questioning if they are fake no tag they are lulu tights and didn’t find a size dot I know some tights don’t have them? Any thoughts?

Mar 11Reply

jessiehollywoodHey you might want to check out “Jersey_Threads. Not sure about what’s she’s got posted.

Apr 19Reply

mreber3Hi! You seem to be the best resource on Lulu Fakes. I recently purchased a pair of Lulu Aligns and they have a size dot but no serial number around the dot. I own 7 other pairs of aligns and they all have the serial number. Are there any Aligns that you know of that would just be a size dot with no serial number?

Apr 24Reply

tmtwins5Hello.. I just received a pair of grey incognito camo fast and frees from ebay. They had a tag but it was right below the waist seam.. in the actual legging. Also the size in the dot had 22 letters and numbers around it.. more than my other fast and frees. Do u think this is suspicious?

Apr 25Reply

dressshoesHi, can you help me distinguish if a lululemon festival bag is real or fake? The tag inside of the bag is shimmery. I own one lululemon festival bag and the tag inside is not shimmery. Any advice? I’m still in the three day window to not accept the item.

Apr 27Reply

social_closet@cookiemonstress wow! SO KNOWLEDGEABLE!! I purchased my first Lululemon leggings recently and they just arrived today. At first I thought they were fake...I honestly have no clue but the stitching is SO good that maybe they are real? I’m now thinking they could be MENS!!😳🤓😂 Do you mind if I post a few pics and tag you? That would be super helpful!!!❤️❤️❤️

Jul 07Reply

social_closet@cookiemonstress I hope I’m not being too forward but I just posted pics of two pairs I purchased here in PM. I thought they were fake at first but the quality stitching made me want to turn them inside out and then voila! I think I discovered they were mens!😳 but I’m still not 100% sure 🙃

Jul 07Reply

cookiemonstress@social_closet hi, yes i saw. I haven’t seen female tights like that and the side crotch area seems men’s style than female (non of my pants are like that at the crotch area, and I have a lot of pants)

Jul 08Reply

cookiemonstress@social_closet i mean the *inside where the crotch area is

Jul 08Reply

cookiemonstressSorry everyone, am not on the app often enough and I dont have all the answers, sorry if I am unable to answer your comments 😞

Jul 08Reply

social_closet@cookiemonstress awesome, thank you for your help!!!!❤️❤️ now i need to figure out if I should just try and resell or return because the listing was in the women’s leggings category and description definitely did not indicate men’s and all the questions I asked led me to believe they were women’s.

Jul 08Reply

linanaz17Hi ! Can you please help me identify if leggings I purchased on here are fake ? I’m almost certain they are 😑

Aug 24Reply

cookiemonstress@linanaz17 hi to you and everyone that ask me to help look at something. Would need u to give me a link so that i know where to look. And also what / which part makes u think it’s is fake so I know where to look in particular. Thanks

Aug 24Reply

linanaz17@cookiemonstress so the person that sold them to me didn’t know the name of the legging . I can’t read the size dot well because the symbol is cracking and the crotch area stitching looks off . Can you email me and I’ll send you pics? Linanaz17@icloud.com

Aug 24Reply

cookiemonstress@linanaz17 post it on your wardrobe, mark it as not for sale and then I come look? Full front, back, seams, size dot

Aug 24Reply

peas813I purchased a swiftly tech and the design on the front is higher than any I’ve seen it runs into the neckline. Do you know of any swiftly techs that were like that? I asked the lady if it was fake & she did buy it second hand herself but said it was just a different style. I just don’t think that’s the case but I do t really know.
