It's a fake sherpa jacket. The sleeves are also lined with the same sherpa stuff. It's not warm enough for a prairie winter, not as warm as the real thing. Good for days that aren't too cold. It sits below the waist, at about center of hip on me, I'm 5'2" tall. It says it's a large size on the tag, but I might have bought it as a large girls size. Almost everything I wear is a small....
