For future reference, packing material under the toe straps would be a good idea (I always see it done on new shoes, but never really thought it was all that necessary, I now know why they do it.), looks like the box was up on its end and inside of a hot truck. Kinked acccordion style & mashed into flattened shape that way. I've got them formed back into shape, but the formerly slick black finish, now permanently crinkled. I know you put effort into wrapping them …just an improvement tip for next time. Thanks.
