Ok...don't laugh, but when you described the jacket fabric as being intentionally "distressed", I had a vision in my mind of what it would look like. When it arrived, my immediate thought was "OMG, what the hell happened to it??" At first, I really did not like it....I think Free People went a little overboard on the distressing of such a beautiful tapestry! To me, it honestly looked like a cat used it as a scratching post! But I went over the entire jacket with a pair of scissors and cut off all of the excess threads where they were hanging in random places, except for at the seams, which I think does look ok and is what I would have expected. Now I feel so much better about wearing it! If I would have worn it to work the way it was, I think people would have been after me all day saying that I had strings hanging loose! LOL Maybe it was not meant to be worn to work, but I bought it specifically for that purpose to go with a wine colored skirt I recently purchased. Anyway, I hope you are not offended in any way, because you did state in the listing that the fabric was distressed, so it's not your fault. It really is a lovely jacket, especially now that I doctored it up a bit!! I just wanted to share my story with you and hope it made you laugh a little!! Thank you! :)
