Weirdly, just felt like sharing this: the postal person didn't put the package in my oversized mailbox and when we found it, a wild animal (or maybe a stray cat) had scratched the crap out of the box. It was left outside AND got rained on. Joy. Luckily, the book was not damaged. A little damp, but no damage.
