I received the item today and when I opened the package the item looked clean but decided to wipe it down with disinfectant before using. The item itself wasn’t too dirty but the cord seemed to be rather dirty. The plates on the item seem to have some spots that may be scratched or where the plates are missing part of the coating. However it works great!!! Overall I am happy with this straightener! Thank you so much for your help.
