Unfortunately the straps are all peeling, not your fault, but rendered the bag not usable. Probably just weakened with age and when they got packed up it finally cracked and peeled. 🙃 so sad !

My dog ate the straps off my original bag so I was so happy to find you had the same one to replace it with.
