as it turns out- out of the 4 pairs I purchased- these are the ones I wear the most- probably because they were not as clean- but regardless- they are comfortable- durable- waterproof and I’ve definitely gotten my moneys worth out of wearing them since I bought them … the seller may have mentioned the smoke but maybe she didn’t notice herself- maybe after they were packed up, that became more obvious- but I’ve managed to get that under control as well- so as of today- I’m very happy with my purchase-
