First of all, I am a Bimba y Lola fan. I lived on the Spanish Canarian Island of Tenerife for 10 years and there was a Bimba y Lola boutique near where I shopped for groceries. They brought a level of fun and sophistication to the island with their wall of colorful scarves, their table of finely crafted handbags and wallets, their shelves of footwear, and their movable racks of perfectly pressed hanging clothes. Next to the cash out counter was a pyramid of chunky jewelry. So, it makes me very happy to occasionally find a Bimba y Lola (the family dogs’ names) skirt or blouse or trousers here on Poshmark. This particular top that I bought from letteredolives’s closet will undoubtedly become one of my longtime favorites. It’s stretchy and the fabric is soft so it’s comfortable to wear. It’s loose fitting, casual and fun, but it could be serious enough to wear to work. It has a lovely drape because the fabric is not cheap. It’s pretty, pleasant and clever like the popular “It Girl” at your high school. The impetus of Bimba y Lola, two creative-minded nieces of famous Spanish luxury designer Adolfo Dominguez have learned well from their family ties in the fashion industry.
