If you cannot locate an item purchased, I would suggest reaching out to the buyer and asking how they want to proceed instead of subbing in items that they may not need/want/like. I would have preferred to simply choose another closet item or rebundle minus the missing item. When people spend their time and money to shop with you, they should at least be given the respect and courtesy to decide what happens with their order.
