The pants are in beautiful condition and are as represented in the photo online. However, someone--perhaps the original owner--put the pants in the dryer for too long and shrank the waist so they are no longer size 38. The pants are so beautiful that I will have them let out by a professional tailor at my expense. But a word to the wise: I have other Velluto Duca Visconti pants the same size, have always removed them from the dryer before they are fully dry, and have never had to have them altered.
