kimmiedee @lvegaschick I just looked at ur closet, and Hun, I don't think u have things listed too high at all!😋☺❤. But how I change a listing is I click on the edit button, and just type whatever in the listing heading....look at some of mine....I've got 20% off....and I changed the price and put "price reflects 20% off" in the description....or u can put "reduced" in the heading title....whichever u prefer. Try to not get too discouraged right off the bat...there are A LOT of people selling on here....I usually "edit" and "relist" my items so that others in addition to my followers see my listings. Click on edit....and click through the next or done buttons until it relists your items....it will post for ALL to see.❤😋. I'll share your listings as well, and hope it helps u get exposure..,,that's the key....keep your listings in front of people As much as you can😋. Hope that helps sweetie✌☺

I was sooo tempted to ask if she'd trade for some toilet paper but I decided just to let it go!! Lol and yes I've seen used body wash and shampoo too!! I can understand a Little the big salon brands that are full bottles but a used bottle of suave body wash?? Really?? Omg. Some people have no shame!! Lol

kimmiedee @tirzah88 u know, I don't know what's worse....pantyliners OR stained up and stuff that is in ridiculously horrible shape.....honestly, I try not to sell things that are flawed, usually only if it is something very small or not very noticeable....some people sell some really worn out things that I would be ashamed to let my dog use as bedding....it embarrasses me to even look at the listings, much less SHARE them....eeek😝😖😉 but I guess each to their own...I'll just live and let live😋😊✌❤

acarrizosa I love your closet! And this great! I'm new here and can't sell anything! I've bought stuff. :/ And I made the mistake if buying something before I read the feedback on the sold listings. I saw that EVERYTHING this seller sells takes weeks to ship. Ugh. My own fault cause she's like 16 (no offense to teenagers) but its what I get.

Have patience...share your items often, follow as many as u can and stand behind your items. kimmiedee @acarrizosa lol....I wish!❤ I hope it helps some...sometimes posh can be hit or miss and it takes a lot of time...but it's fun, and I love it. Just be descriptive in your listings as much as u can....it helps😘😋

alaskagem @kimmiedee so I have a ?? For you...I live in Alaska and a large % of the beautiful ladies won't make a trip up here. So with that said, I LOVE TO SHARE MY NATIVE HERITAGE ...SO I HAVE AUTHENTIC NATIVE HAND CRAFTED ITEMS BY MY PEOPLE IN MY CLOSET, with the exception of a apron that is a limited edition and I only have it because of my catering jobs. kimmiedee @shai5 follow people and they usually follow back....I will be honest though, some people are skiddish about poshers who only have a few listings....but believe me, we ALL start somewhere😋❤ find someone who has similar tastes as you....follow their followers....it takes time but your following will grow eventually....also, sharing others listings is a good way to show your posh love and people will usually share and follow back😍❤

kimmiedee @coryve2 I'm not sure what you are asking me....the "buy now" button automatically appears when you list an item😋❤ if you haven't listed anything yet, give it a try! You can always delete it after you list it if you want....but an item can on"y be deleted if it hasn't sold. Hope that helps!

Just click on one, and you should see the blue buy now in the top right hand corner. U won't see it if you are editing your listings though & I think that is what is going on with u

kimmiedee @claudiaa_cuhh here's how Poshmark works: you post the items you wish to sell from your closet (follow the community rules though, no baby, children or men's, no replica/counterfeit items) there is a FAQ section in the app....go under your account and u will see a tab😋) take clear pics of your items and give clear descriptions for your potential buyers. When your item sells, you will receive an email with a shipping label to print. The packaging is your responsibility....BUT the US postal service will send u FREE boxes to use...just don't use flat rate or regional rate priority mail boxes or they will be subject to additional postage. Check the weight of your item, if u need more postage, buy it in the app-there is an option to purchase additional lbs when you look at your sale. You ship the item, buyer receives it, then they must accept it before you get your $$. Most buyers do this right away. The buyer has 72 hrs to decide if it is what they agreed to purchase though....this is an option that protects the buyer...they could file a claim for false misrepresentation if they purchase something that is badly damaged that hasn't been described or bought an item that was a replica when they were under the pretense that it was authentic. khkdomer OMG - "crotch stains"?! Doh!!! I've not seen anything that bad but I purchased items that didn't show up for over 7 weeks (I kid you not) and a sweater with a giant hole in the shoulder that was not mentioned. I'm so OCD about full disclosure - it makes me grind my teeth when I run into dishonest sellers on here. On the other hand, the sellers that are trustworthy have been consistently sincere and genuine and their closets are exactly as they appear. :)

kimmiedee @coryve2 if they purchased the item of Poshmark, they have to accept the item to immediately release your money....if they don't, posh will release it to you after three days post delivery. This gives the buyer time to accept or decline the purchase. Hope that helps

kimmiedee @cathytel if u tag someone with the @ in front of their user name, the comment should show up in your news feed...if u comment on someone's listing, the comment automatically shows up in their news feed....read all of the comments under these listings and I also have a Q & A listing that should help u. kimmiedee @mrsdiva703 hey there lovely ❤️ if you're commenting to someone in one of THEIR listings, you don't have to tag them😋 they will see it in their news feed. You just need to tag them when you are in a listing that's not theirs. And your closet looks great in my opinion. Pricing can be difficult sometimes. I usually try to search items that are similar to my own, and price that way. Don't looser he faith and have patience with Poshmark....it can take some time to gain followers, but follow the guidelines, share, follow and repeat as much as time allows....your following will grow in no time😋☺️

kimmiedee @mottsie from the best I can remember, the app will automatically give you some people to follow that way you have something showing up in your news feed. In order to gain followers, it's always good to follow more people. When you come across sellers & closets that you like, follow them....many times people follow back. Also, it's always nice to share items of other from time to time...I know it seems slow, but your following will build with time. If you see a closet with similar tastes as your own, try following some of the people who follow that closet and so on❤️ welcome!!!!!

kimmiedee @mottsie thank you!! Party hosts are select members chosen by Poshmark & they are the ones who select the host picks each evening. Hosts are usually diligent about choosing only items that go with the theme, and from closets who only follow the rules: no items from the no no list and no PayPal or other website promotion (etsy or eBay for example). I just recently hosted and when choosing my items if I saw any of those things in a closet, I moved on. Also, anyone can be chosen to host...I've seen people with 500 followers, 500K followers & everything in between😋❤️ it's an awesome thing to be a part of for sure! I hope I get to do it again😋❤️

Looks like you're off to a good start btw...one tip I have for you is to put a little more info into your descriptions. This helps the buyer and you ultimately. Selling imitation designer items is a no no, so to help promote your listings, make sure to identify them as authentic (if they are) and that also helps as well❤️❤️ best of luck to you and welcome to a very addicting and amazing community!!!😋❤️❤️

new_for_u I agree, this is great because as a"Newbie" I have questions as well. I sell on other sites, so I take my pictures and put them on my computer. I don't like the camera on my phone. Well because Poshmark does not allow to sell from the computer, this makes my posting very tedious. I decided to create a Pinterest account for all my stuff, is it bad to say, "follow me on Pinterest"? I just cannot post everything on this site. It takes me forever to type all this too. Lol. Hopefully they will allow us to post from a computer in the future.

I take pics sometimes with my camera, but I have a wifi camera that I can just transfer pics to my iPad and work from there....not sure if they plan on adding capabilities to list via the pc or not ...I'm expecting no since this is an "app" but of course, I'm guessing. I agree, listing takes a lot of time...but spending the time doing that is what pays off in the long run. I find it much easier to use my iPad instead of my phone....it has been my most awesome purchase ever when it comes to listing items❤️ PayPal is a no no because it by passes the commission of the app and there will be no support from Poshmark with those transactions. I, and several people, choose not to support those who "take" from the creators of the platform. I feel it's much cheaper than consignment store % which is anywhere from 60-80%! Yikes!

kimmiedee @new_for_u as far as the ❤️ like goes, some people take it as a "ooooh, they wanna buy my item" , but several do not. I like items all of the time, just so I can come back later...some times they are there, sometimes they have sold....it's a chance I take. I personally don't contact people who simply like my items, it's a turn off to most people. Hope my info helps you, and best of luck!❤️❤️

I would be happy to take a look at your closet & give you my feedback❤️ as far as reselling goes, there is nothing wrong with listing an item you have purchased on Posh...I have done it, and so many people do. In my opinion the courteous way is to send a friendly note to the person you bought it from and tell them you are reporting it....most people don't mind...however most sellers would prefer that you use your own photos to relist....my opinion is: you bought it, you own it, you can do with it what you please❤️❤️

I don't ask people if they are interested if they "like" something, it just annoys them...if they want it, they will buy it (not saying u do that just a suggestion) I get people liking things all day and night and sometimes they buy, most times they don't. kimmiedee @hangup always use the "@" symbol in front of a persons username (no spaces) and that will tag them in your listing....also, the buyer is responsible for putting in their shipping info when they purchase the listing, to to your account in he bottom right hand corner, click on your name, then you will see a place that says profile....I think you can get to your email that way....sometimes emails that aren't yahoo or gmail have trouble getting labels....I had to get a gmail addy to get my labels correctly

thehautemama @kimmiedee This is a great listing. I'd appreciate your opinion on pricing. Some closets have items priced fairly high, the offer huge discounts (like 50 percent off bundles). Other closets have their prices already listed at rock bottom and offer little to no discounts. Do you have a view on which approach generates more sales? When I started, I listed everything high, and offered huge discounts on bundles. I switched tactics midway through an tried to list most items pretty low, and purchasers are still looking for huge discounts. It's kind of like a catch 22. Also, in your opinion, does running sales generate more sales activity? I have periodically run sales and offered things for huge discounts with the sales, and it kind of seems like a waste of time because purchasers never seem to take advantage of the sales I'm running. If appreciate your opinion, it seems there is no "right way" to manage my pricing but I always feel like I'm doing it wrong :)

kimmiedee @heathermckay you know, there really is no right or wrong with the sales thing....I don't run them often, but I came to the realization that I buy sooo much stuff and I needed to get things out of here so I decided to really mark things down😘 there are some who want u to take more off pricing even after you have marked down prices...of course this is totally up to you...I have done the BOGO 50% thingy since the beginning and it works well for me....I try to price my items according to what others do (& what I have in them as well). Try this...maybe instead of a timeframe sale, just mark some items at your bottom $ and place sale in the title...,if it's a no go after a bit, remove and relist later...sometimes simply changing a pic can spark some interest too. Hope that helps you some❤️❤️

One thing I have noticed is this...u may not realize it but u probably have some loyal customers...treat them well with little extras and some tlc and u will see some posh happiness❤️❤️not that u don't already, but I look at it like this...the ones who come back to me are precious...all sales are precious don't get me wrong, I just like to reward my loyals well😍

kimmiedee @marsala hello! I think your pricing is fine....I prefer blouses to be hung up and photographed myself (personal opinion). You are doing well with the light background & your items. I use an app called snapseed, try it out. U will love it❤️ also play around with some photo apps...many are free and u can find one that really works for you...u will dress those photos up in no time!! Hope that helps😘

Anyway I've been on PM since last June- almost a year- and follow Posh rules, try to price fairly etched etc- totally share- join parties - the whole bit- Even tho I've sold many things-I spend tons of time promoting mine/others closets and things move Veeeerrrrry slowly lol- I am nearing 10K and have met amazing gal- but seriously contemplating closing shop 😕The sales are pretty discouraging- I know party of it is that I don't have tons of listings - but I don't know if I'm cut out for it 😒hmmm ! kimmiedee @pmgr22 don't stop!!! Sometimes it's hit or miss on here, I promise! There are so many awesome things to choose from so it can be difficult to stand out....and try to do exactly that! Do what u can to make those listings pop! I revamped my closet several months back by making my items really stand out...maybe they that...and become active on twitter and tumblr.....the big dog posh eye in the sky loves that!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

kimmiedee @pmgr22 honestly they're pretty good...sometimes too people get used to seeing the same pic. Try mixing up some new pics in ur old listings and see if anything happens....always try to do a contrasting background if u can...the less "busy" the background...the better. Look at ur news feed...what stands out to u? And why? Do that for a little while and u will prob see a pattern of some sorts & try to emulate in your own listings. I know it sounds easier said than done, but I think we all struggle with it from time to time

lovesoverated_ I feel like nobody really notices my listings.ive been a member of poshmark for a couple months and ive sold 4 things so far.A lot of my items are in really great condition and lately ive been picking 3-5 of my listings and reducing the price for an hour ( 1hr sale ) but i still feel like nobody really notices and that it isnt attracting new people.what should i do ?

Don't give up those other social media sites… Use them to help promote your closet on posh❤️ and I looked in your closet and I think you have beautiful as well as interesting items...The only word of advice that I can give you is to possibly change the way you have Gucci belt described… While I feel that belts are basically unisex, menswear is really not allowed on the site right now… I would just change the listing to say simply Gucci belt and state the size… The only other thing is that you have some face cream for sale...while I myself would not mind buying something like that...the app does not sell skincare items at this time. Having items that are prohibited will keep u from getting host picks and possibly shares in your closet… Both of which are something that will help you promote your items. When you share your item does it only go to your followers to see or does it go onto the general feed for everyone to see? Are there limits as to how often you can bump/share your item? moviecloset Hi again! It was a great party last night!!! I'm sure you are partied out!!!! I have another couple of questions since you have been so gracious with your time! 1- when you share someone's closet item....it says it goes to your followers? Does it bump/share the item back into the general feed? Is that why it's so important to have followers so that people will bump your clothes out of your closet and back into the general feed? Are we allowed to bump/share our own closet clothes that way also? 2-it appears that my entire name ellensemones is at the top of my closet yet most everyone has "made up" "cute" names! How do I change my whole name off that? I'm not sure I want my entire name in my closet home page! 3-people have sub titles next to their names. Like "will bundle"...won't take other forms of payments outside of this site etc.? I've searched everywhere to add that under my name and can't find how to change it!

My party is tonight❤️😜👍 to change your name at the top of your closet, go to your acct settings and you change edit that way...same for the description...type it in the address and website lines❤️and sharing...everytime u share an item, it goes into the news feed of your followers...same is true for your closet...I sometimes share or "edit". I simply click through the edit button at the top right hand corner of your screen...I think it goes into the newsfeed of others (nonfollowers) That way...I think lol

Poshmark payment comes in the form of either direct deposit or paper check (you choose😍) and a debit or credit card is added to you account in order for you to make purchases. If you have a balance in your Posh account after you make sales, your purchase payment will be deducted from your redeemable balance first, then debit/credit card is used for the remainder❤️ Hope that helps!!
