I have a questions. So I bought some shoes LB they feel great. Everything checks out but damn I'm very skeptical because the with of the sole is a lot thicker then I've ever seen. You can also tell by the lack of the number of facets on the black rhinestones that they are not Swarovski which is all that Louboutin uses. Hard to see unless you get super detailed pictures like this and you're a Swarovski super fan like me LOL.

@s2missanna I have authentic 2010 pairs with the vero cuoio... From my understanding, there's a couple of different locations the shoes are manufactured & not all of the locations do things the exact same way, so you'll have the same style in the same year might not even be done the same if they came from different places. The style that I have the most of from the same year is "Jaws" & all have it, including the custom order pair so i haven't encountered it myself (maybe it's urban legend)

I can post pics if it helps--maybe some super eyeballs can spot a difference between the real vero cuoio stamps and the fake vero cuoio stamps. I can't. The majority of my pairs are newer and don't have it but the ones that do were authenticated by TPF so I'm super confident. The custom pair threw me off!! Couldn't find a single other pair like them so I thought for sure I got scammed but instead I got lucky!

@erikagarzatv I'm so sorry I tagged the wrong person above! Anyways, I did a quick inventory... out of 56 pairs only 7 have the vero cuoio (all are authentic) 4 of them are different colors of jaws circa 2008. 1 is lady gres from 2008 and last 2 are very prive (don't know what year but pre-2010). I was wrong--majority of mine that have it and I know are authentic are 2008 not 2010. Don't want to spread bad info! 🙂

@ksimp96 hi, CL are tricky with their sizing. I normally wear a 8.5. I own So Kate's in a 9.5 (39.5) and 10 (40) and they both hurt because of the heel height 5" (120) but I would suggest the (39.5). I have some 4" (100) CL size 9 (39) and they fit perfect and I can walk comfortably in them.

@brebestt I did it come across that shoe from early 2000's . In shape they look more like older version of manolo blahnik which I loved in late 90's . Also the bottom is a weird type of leather of its even that . The green so kate you listed are beautiful by the way

I know pretty much every collection since which wasn't difficult living two blocks away from bergdorf , 4 from Barneys and not much more from their flag boutique on Madison . By 2004 I woud wear them exclusively . I can tell shoe by shape . They could eoth stretch be mistaken by older version of decolette but the bottom is fake . Did you have them authenticated ?

Wow! At least you got refunded! There's a pie on here that I like a lot, but they have to be fake! The C on he bottom stamp doesn't have the pint and the stamp inside the shoe is smeared and off center.... I called it to the girls attention and she got mad! 😵

HI, I just got a pair of CL black patent leather pumps. They say made In Italy all spaced correctly and the size is correctly placed. There is no signature on the bottom just the Italian leather symbol. Some red paint is worn. Inside it does not say Paris? Signature looks good inside. What do you think?

The P on these shoes is bigger. Im going to have a boutique look at tbem. Im sooo mad. Im done buying off this website. This shoe feels like air. Has no weight to them.

@gurlplz I wouldn’t say they were fake based upon weight. Louboutin employs master craftsmen and they really are very light—Even platforms and studded pairs! I’m a shoe aficionado (cough cough, hoarder) so I have cheap and designer pairs. The well made designer pairs use buttery soft leather (like fine gloves) and are incredibly lightweight. I don’t know how they do it!

Like... I have some Steve Madden and Jeffrey Campbell studded platforms and they feel like they weigh 2 or 3lbs per shoe whereas the louboutin studded platforms are light as air.

There’s threads for helping identify the stylename of a pair, fit information, authentication, etc. You don’t have to be a member to view but you do have to become a member to post/ask for authentication. I originally used it through the web (ask goodie) but I’ve been using their app for a while now. (Saves me from constantly logging in)

Thank you so much for sharing. I recently spotted a fake on this site. Little tips: if you see fading where your heal rests then it’s fake. Real CL’s are stamped in and never fade. Also most people don’t throw away the box. It’s the best way to store them.

@noodles824 you’re welcome! I will have to disagree. On authentic pairs it can fade if the shoe has been worn multiple times even though it is stamped in. The gold foil color will definitely start fading, and the stamp will still be under, however the color does fade with wear.

Just want to add for people wanting you to authenticate shoes there are plenty of online services that you can send photos to and they will authenticate items. Unfortunately with things I’ve heard about p o s h messing up on authenticating items i no longer trust the system and always double authenticate now if i purchase anything!

There are a ton of fakes on here but l can tell Poshmark does their very best to check the site. I wrote looks like a brand name on my listing and got in trouble. I was glad because now I know that is how scammers work. Any information you can send me is appreciated. I just started selling l was strictly a buyer. Thanks again Hilary

Hi while you are showing this example also please show an example of what the AUTHENTIC ....re sole of the CL shoes look like. and the ones that they rehab and put the traction buttoms on that are done to still keep the shoe authentic so a bunch of people arent running around poshmark commenting on re soles as OMGGGGG replica much because they are ignorant

I see soooooo many fakes on dp and merc. BEST giveaway of a fake is the shape of the upper loop on the "L" of louboutin on the back of the shoe. The loop should be pointed and sharp looking, and always closed. If you see a rounded loop or that is open, it's a fake.

Stay away from OFFER UP online site who was made aware of a seller, Tyrianna Franklin, selling fraudulent Tiffany and co earrings, using pictures of authentic tiffany jewelry, when you receive it's evident she went to a store selling authentic tiffany jewely but she sends you the worst of the worst bottomline, poorest fake there is and charges you a high price... shame on you Tyrianna Franklin, shame on you, so buyers please BEWARE.

thank you! I don't mind buying a fake, as long as I know it's a fake from the start, and it's priced accordingly. Many fakes are very well-made items, and I can afford them rather than the thousands of $$$ the authentic can cost! it's just that these poor souls who are selling their fakes they were scammed on want ALL their $ back, so they price them way too high, or shamefully try reselling them as authentic.

After reading several of the comments here, I’ve become very concerned about the purchases that I’ve made now. I’ve spent a ton of money on this site - on various brands. Some have been sent for authentication but most have been under the $500 limit, not requiring Poshmark seal of approval as it may be.

Ok so screwed... I didn’t think there were fake Louboutins, and I truly just use my heals once, regardless of the brand, so I’ll have to keep paying retail price when I buy my red bottoms because I can’t tell the difference, and I wouldn’t feel right about myself if I was wearing something less than original/authentic, like what’s the point of using a fake? I was just about to give it a shot to my very first pair second hand, NWT, but not after seeing this, thank you for the information❤️

It’s happened to me you. When I confronted the seller they told me I was attempting to scam them. Then, I’m not sure if it’s related but I was hacked and my Robin hood acct snd my local bank accounts were charged. I purchased from Mer cari.

@purrrfectjules Sizing is all over the place. I have found for me I wear a smaller size if it has a round toe versus pointed. Smaller if they are flats. I do not live near a store and order online from department stores or direct, I have had to return and exchange sizes so many times. Just when I think I figured it out, I need a different size.

I have 11 pairs of So Kate’s. Bought a fake pair off Poshmark. The second I took them out of the box I could tell. Poshmark didn’t refund me the money either 🤯 but other then the red not being the true CL red bottoms they were the closes thing I have seen for the so Kate’s.
