The best Tex mex in town is Maudie's or the newer maudie's Milagro if you're in the westlake area. For BBQ, pokejo's. Both are your hole in the wall authentic austin originals, 👌🏻 best food in town💗

austin_gal@dguttenberg oh no, they're both excellent too, but I totally understand...when I'm ready to eat, being patient and waiting in line is a no go too 😉 Maudie's and pokejos are well known among the locals, + you won't find the huge crowds so I would def recommend. Not positive, but franklins had to close temporarily last mo for an accidental fire. They might've reopened, but if not, pokejo's or bill millers are both amazing for BBQ. 💗💗
