cardwell1989 @kirstenpmiller No problem I love Marc Jacobs bags They are great bags, especially for vacation. It just seems to be a reoccurring issue on posh, I just don’t want anyone to get scammed. I report them, but some how they aren’t taken down. And yes occasionally you find a real one priced low because someone wants to move them, it’s like finding treasure 🤣 It’s hard to tell with the double J bags though.

cardwell1989 @noonznoonz Not always ): Unfortunately the barcode on the inside can be copied on to a fabricated barcode 🙄 I really wish he would put an unique authentication code on his bags that you could look up on a website and register them. The sales tag normally matches the barcode on the inside including the color. The pink one was a fake it had a barcode on the inside that marched the style and color online.

cardwell1989 I do have one correction The bag pocket on the inside does go from one side to the other, what I meant was it’s sewn in to the back panel of the bag. Not on the sides or near the zipper. It shouldn’t be super loose There’s also a big misconception that Marc Jacobs doesn’t use YKK zippers but they do, I have several bags purchased from Marc Jacobs.com as well as Nordstrom that have YKK zippers

cardwell1989 Also A lot of newer MJ products come with black tags and he has been re-banding himself as THE MARC JACOBS I’m not sure if this is all retailers or just products from his website. But the bags also are staring to say THE MARC JACOBS

cardwell1989 @jennakaufthal No problem I’m so sick of people getting scammed I don’t think a single one of her bags is real. All you can do is report 😭 There are so many fakes online on posh right now ): I highly recommend with snap shots only going the MJ.com sometimes they have good stuff in their sale. Also it gives you proof of purchase to re-sell 👍🏻

jennalily7 @cardwell1989 Great thanks so much, I actually looked a lot on Poshmark and was worried about getting scammed so I recently bought on from Sacs fifth avenue even though it was full price just so I knew it was real. I agree it’s so not fair to be scamming and tricking people. Can’t wait for my real bag to come though I have been wanting the snapshot for almost a year now it’s so beautiful.

cardwell1989 @kblake13 it shouldn’t have any plastic over the Double J Unless it’s a soft shot because that double j logo is a different quality and scratches like crazy. So thats really strange. Hopefully they didn’t switch up the material on the newer Snap Shots But I highly recommend only buying from a MJ website or a Nordstrom Etc. I was working with MJ to get the fakes removed. There is an extreme amount of Fake SnapShots and editor bags on Posh ): As well as M and E too.

ventasymasayj this just happened to me, I bought a bag here at Poshmark, Unfortunately I said that my package had already arrived, and hours later I realized that the bag was fake, I see this post and check my new purchase and omg that’s fake, I have no way to return the bag because it does not give me an option, send a message to the support team if they could help me but I am still waiting, I am very angry and sad,

pribsta pretty sure I just received a fake today. my case is under review. first off it was sold NWT then came with no tags. also in the inside pocket the leather patch says "marc jacobs" but I believe snapshots say "the snapshot" the. underneath marc jacobs.

miloali2552 Thank you so much for this and for being proactive about doing something to help clean this up. Since reporting on this site seems futile, I would also add that sometimes "Ambassadors" are the worst offenders. That designation is not necessarily one of trust.

miloali2552 I would add that this fraud ruins it for all the honest Ambassadors and just sellers in general on the site. Buyers just don't know who to trust, because the oversight is just so lax. I am disgusted that I can't be trusted as a seller, and I sure am skeptical as a buyer.
