poshednfound @jojoblanchard9 hi there! That's a really good question... thanks for asking it! Free People tends to run a tad on the small side, imo. I would say the 25 (which is intended to fit a 25" waist) is probably equivalent to sizes 0-2, and the 28 (intended to fit a 28" waist) is probably equivalent to sizes 2-4. If it helps, I'm between a 2 and 4 (depending on the brand) in womens' clothing, and the 28 fits me.

poshednfound @jojoblanchard9 I have a 27" waist, but I think these are a mid-rise, which is why I needed to size up an inch. I haven't worn the pair I kept for myself since last summer, so my memory isn't clear re: the rise, but I can verify that in the morning and let you know. I'm also happy to add any garment measurements you need to help assess fit. Thanks again for your question and interest! :)

poshednfound @jojoblanchard9 sorry for the delay! I looked at the pair I kept for myself, and they're high rise (not mid-rise, like I thought). They're actually a tad big for me at the waist, so probably pretty true to size there, but they fit me like a skinny jean style should everywhere else. I hope that helps!
