The initial campaign included Naomi Campbell, Winona Ryder, Rufus Wainwright, Julianne Moore, and Selma Blair. It has been held annually and attracted many other celebrities and models to participate. Robert Duffy, the President of Marc Jacobs International, LLC. was treated at NYU for Melanoma. He wanted to bring awareness to Melanoma since it is easy to detect early and save a life. The campaign has raised public awareness and additional funding for the NYU School of Medicine.
