What is the difference between fire opal a d regular opal? I'm in the market for the traditional opals.

@sarahbliss3000 all Opals are graded by different stages by their colors. most "Opals" on the market ard milky white with some color reflections when the lights hit the "color" spots. This is called the "fire". A "fire" opal is ALL color all the time.

@sarahbliss3000 There is nothing to fear. I have a solid reputation and can answer all of your questions. Mall or "corner" jewelry stores mark up their product 400%. I buy my stones directly from the mines and make my pieces. so there isn't that HUGE mark up that goes with purchasing from commercial stores. They have advertising & employees to pay for. I just have to cover the metal & stones!
