A lovely piece of craftsmanship, this long necklace features stations of fetish animals culminating in a gorgeous sun god figure. Created with turquoise and heishi, the colors of blue and brown pop and make a fantastic statement. The sun god kachina, Tawa, is lively, friendly feeling, and full of personality. He feels very protective. I’m going to miss having him around! Recently taken to New Mexico with me, I learned that this piece is older, but was re-strung in the 80’s or 90’s with a magnetic clasp.
