ORREFORS Sweden Rare Maja 5" Round Bowl
The "Maja" footed handblown glass bowl by Orrefors Sweden was introduced in 1987. The bowl has a faceted shape with hand-painted pale red flowers and delicate green vines with a few blue dots to represent berries. The initials "EE AL" are hand painted subtly on the bowl, the signature of designer Eva Englund and painter Arne Lindblom.

- Rare - a few variations were created at the same time, some with a larger and more prominent footed pedestal, some with faint blue lines around the pedestal, and some without a pedestal at all.

About the Designer: Eva Englud was a Postwar & Contemporary Swedish artist (1937-1998) who designed hundreds of contemporary glass pieces for her own collection as well as for many Swedish brands such as Orrefors.
