Vintage Navajo Artist signed By Gilbert Damon who lived from 1930 to 2016, Necklace. The length is 16" long and the Pendant measures 1 & 3/8" long including bail and 7/16" at widest point. Turquoise Chunks form the chain and the Pendant features Turquoise, Onyx, Mother of Pearl, Lapis Lazuli and Spiny Oyster. Gilbert, a Korean war veteran, attended BIA Indian School in Fort Defiance, Albuquerque Indian School, and Chilocco, Okla. He was employed with Navajo Forest Products Industry for 20-25yrs. He enjoyed football, sports, running, hunting & fishing. He was a Silversmith & family man who loved his children. His pieces are highly sought after. Item H84.
