Hand Made Heavy Weight Hoodie

This piece was inspired by the Pemba Cardi on page 154 of The Tunisian Crochet Handbook, A Beginners Guide by Toni Lipsey. I didn't keep any notes on my adaptations and don't plan to duplicate this piece. This is a personal favorite and was so much fun to make! It's made in a Tunisian Seed Stitch holding two strands of fingering weight cotton as one and weighs more than two pounds. The side seams are debulked by turning the sleeves so the seam runs along the inside of the arm, rather than along the underside. This positioning also puts the thumb holes in the ribbed cuffs in a more comfortable position. This is an oversized sweater measuring at 42" wide throughout, 25" from the shoulder to the bottom edge and the drop sleeves are 22" long.
