tokidokitiger I couldn't find any rules prohibiting upcycled items on Poshmark..? There are plenty of sellers who sell upcycled clothing & jewelry items, so I'm not sure why that's on the list?

baglady386 @tokidokitiger You 100% cannot sell up cycled items, perfumes gift with purchased items on Poshmark at all… I have seen some very close friends of mine who have lost years and years of work through Poshmark because they will shut your closet down

baglady386 Poshmark has strict rules regarding upcycled luxury items due to intellectual property and trademark laws. While general alterations to an existing, authentic product are often allowed, creating a new product using branded materials or logos is generally prohibited

baglady386 Authenticity is paramount: The original item must be authentic. Poshmark strictly prohibits the sale of any replicas or fakes.

baglady386 This is strictly from Poshmark “Prohibited Upcycling Practices: Poshmark's policy explicitly states that taking portions of a branded item (e.g., a button from a designer jacket, a lock from a Louis Vuitton bag) and repurposing them into a new, different item (e.g., jewelry, keychains) is strictly prohibited.”

tokidokitiger @baglady386 I see the prohibited list. It looks mostly geared towards luxury upcycling. I was talking more like people taking a jean jacket and putting a few patches on it or intentional rips in clothing. That kind of upcycling. :)

baglady386 @tokidokitiger Yeah that is pretty much a DIY I personally don’t think there’s any wrong doing in selling something that you have personally made or did yourself which would technically include up cycling of like luxury bracelets, Louis Vuitton bags, etc. but you’re good. I just wanna help in anyway I can’t tell anybody who may have confusion. Have a great holiday and a safe and happy new year.
