(Egyptians revered scarabs as representatives of the sun god Khepri, who brought the sunrise over the horizon each day. Thus, it became a symbol of rebirth, regeneration, and protection in the afterlife.) The colors of the stones include black, red, green, mauve-y rose pink, and brown, many with veins of other colors running through them. Gold tone setting - I can’t find any marks indicating this is 14k or even gold-filled, and I cannot find any artist or manufacturer signature. Not unsubstantial - it weighs 53g
