James H.W. Thompson was an American architect who settled in Bangkok after World War II.
In the late 1940s, he almost single-handedly revived Thailand’s traditional handwoven silk industry, which had been in decline.
He introduced Thai silk to the global stage by modernizing designs and promoting it to haute couture houses and movies (e.g., The King and I).
This item has never been used. Measurements: 34"x34". 100% Thai Silk.
