nycnomad @classicandposh I marked these way up so no one bought them out from under you, but I paid 219, which would mean that need to ask at least 295 to break even on them. Is that manageable for outside your budget?

classicandposh @nycnomad hi, yes, this is wayyy out of my budget. With Christmas coming up I have kiddos. But they are really nice. I won’t have that kind of cash till after Christmas

nycnomad @classicandposh I am so very sorry! Is he ok?
Dec 16Reply
classicandposh
classicandposh @nycnomad He’s pretty beat up. Hit his forehead and has a concussion. But he does have pins in his ankle. Won’t be able to get out for maybe a couple weeks. He’s going to stay with us bc he needs the screws to be turned everyday. But other than the pain he’s ok. I go stay with him at night bc he can’t get up. But my husband & I will be helping him out until he’s ok.Thank you for asking. Christmas will be tricky this year. But glad my dad is ok. He’s all I have.

nycnomad @classicandposh Oh wow that is terrible but glad that he is more or less ok. Just watch out for blood clits in the lower leg. Maybe give him a calf massage every once in a while if you can and have the energy. Or see if you can get insurance to cover those boots that inflate and deflate (they often give them to people in the hospital after surgery
Dec 16Reply
classicandposh
classicandposh @nycnomad Wow, Thank you. I will ask about the boot. As he can only wear one. Yes, I had a cousin that got leukemia and they had to put her in a medically induced coma because she’d get anxiety and would pull out her iv’s. But she got no physical therapy. Her legs got necrotic and the had to amputate both. Luckily she got them cut off below the knee. She now has prosthetics.

nycnomad @classicandposh That’s awful. I’m so sorry. A lot can be overlooked. I’m a neurorehab specialist so I deal with a lot in cautionary tales and what not to do
Dec 16Reply
classicandposh
classicandposh @nycnomad That’s great. Both my parents dealt with a lot. My mother passed away from breast cancer & my dad took care of her for years. He’s never been sick a day. So this is hard on him. But this too shall pass. I will ask his dr and see if I can at least find him a boot for his other leg to take home. He’ll be in crutches & a walker until the screws come off. He’s hired a lady to stay & care for him. Home health care.
Dec 16Reply
nycnomad
nycnomad @classicandposh Just make sure to massage the leg with the screws very gently to keep the circulation going 🙏🏻❤️
Dec 16Reply
classicandposh
classicandposh @nycnomad I will, my dad is the sweetest, kindest father & human being. I will be watching him. Thank you for your advice. Priceless. ❤️
