This Navajo-style necklace is a striking example of Southwestern jewelry, featuring vibrant orange spiny oyster shell Heishi beads, smooth sterling silver desert pearls kand a central pendant or jacla of graduated Kingman turquoise. The spiny oyster shells provide a warm, variegated orange and white color, while the turquoise adds a pop of bright blue-green with a various brown colors of matrix. The combination of materials, finished with an oval link or paperclip type chain and spring ring clasp. It is marked for .925 sterling silver purity.
This delicate necklace measures a little shy of 18” and has a total weight of approximately 16.4 grams.
The round desert pearl beads measure 4 to 6mm and the saucers 5mm. The Heishi beads are 6.7mm and the turquoise measure .48”L and graduate to .64”L. Please be aware these are approximate measurements.
