Hi, is it a stretch material that can add inches to the pit?

@dk3410 Hi there.. it is 100% cotton gauze. It does have a bit of stretch, adds about an inch but you don’t want it to stretch too much as it will pull the buttons if you wear it buttoned up. Hope this helps!
