This lovely stone is a classic Sri Lankan/ Ceylon Sapphire, in the stunning deep royal blue they are prized for. It has never been set, and will make a valuble addition to any piece or collection. The average sale price of a roughly 1 carat stone of this cut and deep color, without the GIA report, is often between $1,800 and $2,600, and I included current listings from well-known suppliers for reference. As this one includes the GIA report for much less than that price, it is beyond a steal! Some know these gems as Ceylon sapphires, and others as Sri Lankan Sapphires however they are the same thing.
