These jeans have a mid-rise and no stretch. I tore the tags off (they will be in the pocket) but never wore them thanks to my mother telling me I have other jeans that are more flattering on me. I missed the return window. J.Crew sizing equates a 34 with a size 18. I paid $168 for the jeans, which are now on sale for $150.99 but the 34 is currently out of stock.
