Mexican folk art. A cross carved from Dark Wood adorned with numerous small metal charms called Milagros. Milagros means miracles in spanish. These charms are used throughout Latin America to petition for help or to give thanks for answered prayers. The charms represent specific intentions, such as body parts for healing, animals for protection or religious figures like the Virgin of Guadalupe.
