Hi! Is this a size 2 in Zimmerman sizing which equates to a Medium or US8- or is it a size 2 in standard sizing?

This is a Zimmerman size 1. It does have a neck tie but it hangs open nicely - I’ve never tied it. Also a tie around the waist. One of the loops that keep it from getting lost are in need of a stitch. The dry cleaner returned it that way but safety pinned in place for safe keeping
