hello, what a pretty dress. My son is getting married in September in Boise Idaho and I am looking for something to wear.. does the bow come off or it it attached? I am 5/6 and weight 133lbs.. how is the fit on this dress? I am trying to lose about 5 lbs. :)

Hi ~ The bow does come off and can be worn w/o it or tying in in multiple ways. I am 5’3” and weigh about the same as you. That means the waist & bust would fit you even better. The length is perfect for you. I wore a more platform high heel to avoid having any alterations. I had grand ideas of dropping a few pounds myself, butttt 🤪

I am happy to share some pictures of my shoes or me in the dress if that would help. I would just need my daughter in law to help me locate some pics from the day. BTW, this was my 3rd son’s wedding and I loved this dress the most & got more compliments…. I just did not want to look like I was going to prom or the senior citizen ball. 😂😂😂

I think it sounds like it would work. Only other question is how warm did you feel in it? Boise can be HOT. The wedding is Sept 6th at 4pm. Wedding is in a little church and reception is outdoors.

I had purchased a pretty silk/ linen blend dress but it was before I knew the wedding g colors so I am told that will not work. Oops. And yes, don’t want to look like prom or senior ball for sure. I lean toward bohemian casual but my mom is saying it has to be a bit fancier :). And the weight. Gosh, it snuck up on me. The new pounds 🙃

My daughter in law selected mine and she did so good. It is a very light silk. I live in Nashville , TN and it’s hot and humid. I felt great even when we were taking all the pictures & dancing in a room with tons of people. You can also unbutton the front as high as you like to let air in. If you like bohemian you can add a fun different belt or add a vintage broach to the belt. You could also wear some larger fun vintage jewelry… you can totally find a way to be elegant bohemian.
