Beautiful vintage lot of three decorative folding hand fans, including two intricately carved sandalwood fans and one painted bamboo-and-fabric fan featuring a colorful peacock among flowering branches. The two sandalwood fans have delicate pierced carving throughout, with a repeating floral design accented in soft brown. One retains its small red tassel with green bead. The third fan has finely pierced bamboo sticks with a sheer gray fabric leaf, hand-painted with a striking red peacock, blossoms and foliage, and finished with a dark blue tassel. Each fan measures approximately 8” long when closed and 14” wide when fully opened. Lovely vintage decorative pieces for display, collection, costume, photography props, or an Asian-inspired interior. The carving and painted details are particularly attractive when the fans are fully opened. Vintage pre-owned condition with light age and handling wear consistent with use and storage.
