Finally have decided to let go of my Goyard Artois MM as I do not use it enough. I purchased this bag in Fall 2017 at the Paris boutique on Rue Saint Honore. At that time, they were offering a special / limited customization called “the Bannière” stripe. The Bannière (English translation - banner or flag) represented the flag of France and was offered in multiple color combinations. I also added my monogram “AR.” If I were to guess, this bag has been carried less than 15x. Overall, the bag is in great condition, and has been stored stuffed, in its dust bag, in my closet. However, there are signs of wear: Interior - unfortunately a travel pack of wet wipes leaked (😭) resulting in a water stain. Exterior - 1) the corners of the bag are where you see the most wear and scuffing. I’m confident that a high quality leather conditioner would be helpful here! 2) there is some sort of nick near the bottom of the Bannière stripe and my initials. These days, there are lots of artists who can remove or change monograms, or paint over them with another design. This bag has lots of life left so don’t let the “AR” deter you from getting a classic, useful Goyard bag for less! It retails today for $2,980 plus tax (😳). Reasonable offers will be considered.
