This vintage collector's tin, from the 1997, includes two factory wrapped & sealed decks of Bicycle Holiday Edition playing cards showcasing Leyendecker's Saturday Evening Post magazine covers, his famous Santa illustrations: One with Santa leaning down to hug a young child (cover from 1925) and the other of Santa handing a dog a treat (cover from 1930). Very heartwarming nostagia! From the back of the sleeve: J.C. Leyendecker created more than 320 Saturday Evening Post cover illustrations between 1899 and 1943. Credited with creating the "New Year Baby," J.C. Leyendecker through his advertising work exerted considerable influence on North American popular culture during his lifetime. CONDITION: The collector tin and sealed cards are in excellent vintage condition with the tin showing hardly any wear. The sleeve, which did its job in protecting the tin, is still in fairly good shape as well, but shows a little wear, especially on the corners. Brand: Bicycle Saturday Evening Post Artist: J.C.
