@misskay235 I went there when I was in high school and my mom was SO jealous! She told me I wasn't old enough to appreciate it ๐which I wasn't! So when we went to Cape Girardeau, Mo for the solar eclipse, HAD to swing by Graceland! Since I do appreciate it now lol

@casa75 thatโs awesome. I was in Virginia Beach for the eclipse. I was supposed to fly home that night but they canceled the flight. My friends drove to Myrtle Beach to watch it. I was hoping to see it from the aircraft. Didnโt happen. I understand why Graceland is still decorated in 70โs decor, I was still surprised tho.

@misskay235 It was a spur of the moment trip to say the least. Our daughter's friend was going to Kansas and she asked if we could go. I found the "closest" drive (10hrs), packed bags, husband booked a room while I was driving ๐ Left at 4pm and got there at 1am! Yeah, it is nice but it's like they left it as The King did. Gotta love yellow laquear...a whole room of yellow laquear ๐

(He didnโt want to) but we did. Of course I was in Heaven for a few hours. I want to go back when I can have plenty of time. Oh yes, that yellow was really โinโ back then. Funny how things change do drastically.

@misskay235 Sorry! Teenage daughter drama ๐ We didn't get to tour Graceland that trip. Had to get back home. So we just took pics of the front and plane. When I did tour it, back in '91, I had just turned 16 and funny thing, our daughter turned 16 a month before also! I don't remember it being so expensive! Now there's like a hotel you can stay at and I guess have more "access". Definitely a pretty penny place to stay! I hope you get to go again and mosey around as long as you want ๐

It went to a go cause tho๐ But I could swear that I saw a pair of shoes I donated on here a few days ago ๐ก She was from the Corpus Christi area....(sigh) Good Cause! Good Cause!

Sadly, when it's cloudy, it really shows ๐ But it's so time consuming I can't bring myself to redo them ๐ฒ Also, my husband and I built my little partition wall ๐ Thanks again! You made my day ๐

@forsimplestyle Our weather can't decide if it wants to be warm or cold. One day it's 84* the next 57* and humid at all temps ๐๐ Sounds like your husband is a good sport ๐ mine too, thank goodness! With a healthy sense of humor! I'd love to get those types of lights, but I literally would have nowhere to keep it all!
