rucsandrac @knitgirl12362 Thank you for reaching out! Since I am new I am still trying to figure it all out. The whole idea behind sharing is to get exposure, right ? Just not understating how this sharing help since it goes to other sellers not to buyers (unless the other Poshers want to buy). Or is the sharing of my item go to their page and thus it creates extra visibility for me? Hope my question makes sense. Also how long until you made your first sale if you don’t mind me asking? Thank you!

drebinder @rucsandrac what is most important is you share YOUR items at posh parties!! Also, I feel what you share, is a reflection of your taste & style. If I went to your shares and saw a bunch of tacky items, I wouldn’t take your shares seriously. Choose your shares wisely. Just my own opinion.

drebinder @rucsandrac another piece of advice: if you were selling a gorgeous ankle free bird brand boot in a size 9, you wouldn’t want to share the same boot style and size of another seller. It can be a different size or style though, as not to compete with your listing.

rucsandrac @drebinder thank you so much for your comment. I am new and I struggle with the share aspect of Poshmark. We are encouraged to share when others share our items - however there are times when I don’t really find anything I like or want to share from someone’s closet (who shared one of my items). I decided to only share what I like, at least from now on. Your feedback came at a perfect time for me and it totally validated what I thought. Thank you for taking the time to reach out.

rucsandrac The idea is that I was “forcing” myself to share items that I did not like, so it did not feel authentic. Do you think that buyers are other Poshers or people outside Poshmark community? It takes a lot of time to share and to relist items. Do you think most sales happen at parties? I am trying to understand what is most effective and efficient and what actions really translate into sales. Is it good pictures, relisting items, sharing to parties, low prices or unique items ?

ezlawrence @rucsandrac - Just for your info, sharing is the number 1 way of having your stuff seen & it is a tenet of poshmark, On other venues, there is no option or you must pay money to bring items back up to the "front page" to be seen. I've shared over 45 thousand times (Used to sell on etsy & know that having things listed is as good as having nothing...if you are not seen) & share items to posh parties. Each seller is in a sea of 30 MILLION other sellers & every time you're seen it's a miracle!

jacki0915 Hey! I have a quick question about the spanx wide leg pants I bought from you. They are great and I don’t have a problem. Thank you for shipping so quickly! I have another pair and they are a lot longer than these. Love that I don’t have to wear heels but- didn’t know if they were the petite or if you had them hemmed. Either way totally fine, trying to figure out if I get the navy pair and want them this length how to do it!
