houndstooth@icharb Hello and belated Happy Hanukkah! Things have been crazy and not slowing down anytime soon. I went out of town the week before Thanksgiving, then had a houseful of company for the Iron Bowl. I had only been back on Posh for 2 days when my precious grandson became very ill and was hospitalized for a severe case of RSV. He was in ICU for 6 days and required a feeding tube and oxygen 24/7. It was terrifying! ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Dec 09Reply

houndstooth(Continued) He was finally moved to a regular hospital room for another 2 days and was finally discharged a few days ago. I got back to Tuscaloosa yesterday. I’m leaving again to go back to Baton Rouge on Thursday. I made plans about 2 months ago with youngest son to meet there with his girlfriend. Will be back next Sunday, then leave for Houston on Wednesday for medical tests. Praying for a CANCER FREE diagnosis during that trip! ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Dec 09Reply

houndstooth(Continued) This has all pretty much kept me off Poshmark since before Thanksgiving until after Christmas... not the best time to be away but it couldn’t be helped. I’m just so thankful that Reid is finally better. Would love to catch up after the holidays when things are a little calmer. Love you! ❌⭕️❌⭕️

Dec 09Reply

icharb@houndstooth hi Ellen wow that is a lot of news! A relief to hear your grandson is ok. Life is full of unexpected surprises. My thanksgiving was my 50th bday and hip surgery seven weeks ago..going to PT and working taking each day as it comes I am getting better day by day. Hoping to be able to get back to regular exercise routine soon. Will be keeping you in my thoughts for your tests to come out clear and wishing you a “refuah shelema” happy last day of Chanukah 🕎 time flies. 💚💚 Elyssa

blreibman1948I used to live on Mombasha Road in Monroe!!!!

May 24Reply

blreibman1948We lived there before the mall opened and it was a sleepy little town. I taught in the elementary school.!!!! Love it up there🌷

May 24Reply

icharb@blreibman1948 small world!

May 24Reply

icharb@blreibman1948 it is still nice but it isn't sleepy anymore lol. Woodbury commons is basically shopping Disneyland now. but is it closed now bec of pandemic. really weird seeing it totally empty. where do u live now?

May 24Reply

blreibman1948Moved to Europe for a year ( saved tons on money living there no place to shop!!!)after Monroe them came back lived in Washington land then bought a house in New Paltz. In 1981 moved to Fort Lauderdale. Still here love Florida super easy living in warm weather and no winter clothes. Love upstate New York still has my heart just not my body🌷

May 24Reply

blreibman1948I live right on the Appalachian trial on mombasha road and hiked that trail 5-10 miles some weekends. It was glorious. You’re lucky to be there. Really.

May 24Reply

icharb@blreibman1948 yes there is something special about NY state. I was just in minnewaska today mountain biking it was picture perfect weather we have been waiting for a long time for the warmer weather 😀 my sister in law lives in Ormond Beach it is nice but the idea of leaving NY not sure if I could! I am a New Yorker through and through 😀

May 24Reply

blreibman1948Yeah me too I’m most comfortable in the mountains but everyday I open my wooden blinds in every room and the sun shines in. It’s an uplifting feeling. Like a great autumn day in New York when it’s perfect. I sort of feel like that every day. I loved Monroe. It was my first experience out of NYC and it was amazing.!!!! Harriman state park my favorite place up there and the storm king Art Gallery. If you haven’t been .....GO!

blreibman1948I worked at Mohank mountain house. I gave tours way back when. The cast from SNL came and I gave them a tour. Bill Murray Gilda Radner, John Belushi do you remember them!! I was in Monroe when it was fantastic in the ‘70s!!!

icharb@glennlowney you too! things seem very quiet ... are you having the same experience? I'm sending out offers and people just don't respond I'm in parties it just seems dead right now just curious how you're finding things

icharb@blreibman1948 hi it's Alyssa again from Monroe I was just curious if you are experiencing pretty much dead activity? it seems things have really really slow down people don't even respond to offers maybe it's just the current climate I was just wondering how are you finding it as well on your end

May 28Reply

blreibman1948Yes, very slow. People are worried about essentials food, electric bills etc. Very scary times. They say if we become a masked society like China and Japan we can resume work. I’m a teacher. I’m very worried about schooling and children. They are touchers and huggers. It’s very scary. I sold some things I lowered prices so low on certain things. I guess we just deal with it for now and try to stay healthy.🌼🌺🌷

icharb@blreibman1948 well I can't say I'm happy to hear that but at least it makes me feel better that I'm not alone luckily I have other things that I work on so this is just a side hustle I am hoping we can get back to some sense of normalcy soon but staying healthy is the most important today the CDC increase their space guidelines it's more than 6 feet now I wish people would be patient and understand what's really happening but we can only do the best we can 🥰

May 28Reply

icharb@glennlowney just keep plugging along things will eventually pick up I think people are just focused on the essentials right now

May 28Reply

blreibman1948Yeah it’s really bad that people defiantly won’t wear masks and carry guns to the capital in Michigan. I’m amazed at the stupidity of humans. That governor just wants to stoop the rise of cases. Cuomo did a great job in NY. He told the truth. He said he couldn’t police all of NYC and it threw in into the hands of the New Yorkers and they listened. My daughter lives there. Hoping everyone complies. She said lots do not where the mask in her area. She just thinks they’re really selfish and stupid.

blreibman1948But most actually keep distance and wear masks. Sad and lonely. We need a great vaccine and patience.
