Appears you too perhaps have a little "farmette" situation as myself however 50 Bucks/Foes/Fawns, wild black turkeys, foxes, bears, raccoons, possums, feral babies, every bird known to man(it seems) and my fur children keep me distracted from PM.....well I DO NOT have that gorgeous faced beautiful Alpaca.....well not yet!!

@sookiesays i love that name Sunkist my guy got his name from the M on his forehead. His sister is Amazing Grace because her mother was hit by a car and she was delivered by a nurse at the scene. She was a rescue and has the sweetest personality. She treats Matthew like he is her kitten .. ♥️🐱🐱♥️

@kiki5360 they are pretty adorable. When i was in grade school, our family was at church on Christmas when we saw this airedale racing around the parking lot. My sister and I snuck him into our family car where he slept until we came out of church. Our dad was surprised!?! We found his home that day...he had slipped out while their familys holiday guests werw arriving. Otherwise, he would have joined our family. and i will keep an eye out for an Airedale in need of a forever home. ❤

@afenismama. Sophie is 15 and came to me from a rescue organization. Her former people were divorcing and neither wanted her. What? Matthew stands that way when he wants to sit with me on the couch--not that he can't get there on his own. He just wants to cuddle. ♥️♥️

It is breathtaking to watch a dog draw so much from a person who is pulling away from humans. Sophie connects with people on a very personal level.

My mom had an orange tabby named Clyde that she still remembers fondly though he’s been gone a long time. I have a creamsicle-colored rescue, Astrid, who is a gem, as well as two other kitties. I am super fond of calicos, which I have one of, named Riley. The other one is Nutmeg. Incidentally, my daughter’s name is Sophie. Adorable!!! I don’t have any human children but my fur children are absolutely my babies!! I think people who don’t have pets are really missing out! They Are So Beautiful, I love kitties, I just one now (Many over my life) my girl Belle is a big Shorthair black kitty... but I feed 3 strays outside of my apartment complex. Hi JOAN, l grew up in a college town. Every spring when l walked home l would see a lot of abandon cats around trash cans starving, looking for food. I was a kid, but l stole cans of cat food to try and feed them. I promised them when l got older l would do something. I did we went non profit 1990. We were able to fix,feed and shelter many,many cats. Now my volunteers do the trapping and feeding. I run a sanctuary for old and medically needy cats from my home. I kept my promise.

@jgreen0722. wow! i almost cried when i read your beautiful note. When i was younger i helped my sister raise money to get cats and dogs spayed or neutered. As an adult i have taken in almost a dozen cats including a feral mom and her two girls. i cant understand why people are unkind to animals. it says a lot about them. thanks for sharing your story with me. i love to learn of other people doing something to improve the lives of cats or dogs or animals in general.

Cat Whiskers are attached to tissues that have multiple nerve endings. These nerves are sensitive to even the slightest movement of air can detect objects without seeing them an advantage in the dark.Since whiskers are sensitive to pressure, cats use them to determine the position and movement of an object or of prey. also help to measure the width of an opening before they attempt to go through it.
What do you think? Did the function of cat whiskers come about by evolution? Or was it designed?

Hi Joan, Thanks for the compliment on the cat on my closet. Her name is Tory and she’s been the house queen since she was a baby. She and her brother Ernie are eighteen years old. We have done TNR street cat rescue over forty years. Now our wonderful volunteers do the trapping,feeding and sheltering. We care for old street cats and medically needy cats in our home. Just alot of love!! I had a chow and she passed away about 6 yrs ago and she lived to be #21. I rescued her from a puppy mill and she was 3 months old. I loved her so much. You wouldn't believe it but I still cry about her when I talk about her. My animals.are just like my children. I love them so very much. My cats are rescues also. I know you understand. They go right along with my 2 daughters and my grandchildren. We are all a family. bjgh

I love all the pictures of your pets and the comments. They are all so precious! I love the story behind Amazing Grace. She’s your little miracle! My little Doxie, Daisy Mae, turned 15 in May and she’s in great health. I wish I could have more pets, but my apartment will only allow one. Daisy Mae loves cats. She would love yours!
