“I started to climb through fallen trees. But it got extremely hot,” said Nelson. “I’m a baker who works with huge ovens. This was 600 degrees Fahrenheit.” They survived.

@mzbean74 Yeah the whole NW suburbs have changed a lot and grown. Every time I’m back to visit there’s a new store (or strip mall) that’s opened up. Deer Park is not even recognizable anymore! Mundelein is relatively slow paced compared to some of the suburbs, which is nice. I lived with my family in McKinley Avenue over near Carmel High school.
