Hi! My name is Casey and I'm a 26 year old graduate student. I've been married to my best friend for 5 years now. I have a rare genetic disease called Ehlers-DanIos Syndrome (don't worry, it's not contagious!). It has caused me to fluctuate in size quite a bit over the years, and Posh has helped me to keep my wardrobe stocked for all of these sizes (2-12) without completely breaking the bank. crhaltonHi Kathy! It has been an amazing couple of weeks. We snorkeled, spent time with a few very nice couples from Germany, and went into town one day. I would recommend this place to anyone :) sadly it is time to leave in the morning but I feel very refreshed. How are you doing? 💕💗 @poppy64

fashionchicazCasey, I was diagnosed with EDS 9 years ago! You're the first person, besides family members that finally found answers after my genetic testing (it was found paternally after my dad died at 50, perfect health, of a ruptured aorta. I can't believe it!

crhaltonWow, nice to meet you, Erin! 💗 What are the chances?! I never thought I'd find anyone on here with EDS! I'm sorry about your dad :( so you must have Type 4? Or a crossover. I have type 3 with 4 crossover. I don't have any vascular issues (not yet at least). My worst symptoms are digestive, but I am also hyper-mobile and can dislocate most of my joints on command.

crhaltonI've also had a few hernias and have bad scoliosis, which are associated with EDS. I'm still learning a lot but having a knowledgeable doctor has made a huge difference! For me it runs on my mom's side. I belong to a group on Facebook that has been pretty helpful too! A lot of "is this an EDS thing?!" Posts that I have related to, haha @fashionchicaz

crhaltonI live in Syracuse, NY. I have different specialists for different things since EDS is primarily treated by treating the symptoms, but my rheumatologist is the one who knows the most about EDS overall. His name is Dr. Mtanos. @fashionchicaz :)

sparklehoof2I'm glad I got to see your closet, but I'm sorry to hear that you have EDS. I wasn't familiar with it, so I just looked it up. I can't claim to be in your shoes (well, I guess unless I buy them), but I have a chronic invisible disease that shares similarities and my closet has formed as a result of diets and medications that I've tried. sparklehoof2If I had the energy, it would be fun if we could start a nonprofit clothing swap for people with chronic illnesses. I spend most days in my pj's (I'm not complaining- in fact I highly recommend it to anyone:), but on the days that I'm up for going out it's nice to wear something that makes me smile when I catch my reflection in a window:)

crhaltonAnd I can completely empathize with that! I've spent most of the past year in PJs. Now I'm in grad school, and I've loving the fleece leggings/Shirtdress combo 😍 I have also recently discovered Anthro PJs, which makes things a little more fun. My most recently purchased pair is flannel and has a print of chickens with birthday hats 😁 lol @sparklehoof2

I am supposed to graduate in May, possibly August (very dependent on my health), so I will be busy at times writing my thesis. But I would love to collaborate with you in any free time that I have. This is my hobby so I spend a lot of time on it anyway, and it would be wonderful if we could simultaneously help other people in similar situations. crhaltonI'm tracking changes in stream channels (sediment erosion and deposition) over time using different methods. I have aerial photographs of the site dating back as early as the 1930s until today, I also have two 3D datasets, one from the early 2000s and one that I collected last year. In between those two dates there was a hurricane, so I'm looking at the changes that happened as a result of that.

crhaltonI finally got it @smcafee9151 !! I have my UPS mail forwarded to a pickup location, and only pickup when I know that I have a package coming. I figured that you shipped USPS (with the free Posh label), so I was looking for the dress in the regular mail and didn't know that I had a package to pick up.

crhaltonJust a bit of advice because there are (unfortunately) less honest buyers, and it's very easy for them to say that the package wasn't received - it's best to use the USPS label provided by Posh so that can't happen :) I do finally have it now, and I love it.
