beachbumvb Welcome to the Poshmark madness. I have a couple of suggestions that I believe will hep you catch more eyes as people scroll. The 1st pic needs to show the item in its entirety. If a top or dress, it is usually best to photograph it on a hanger, so the shopper can see the shape and how the material falls. If you can find a stock photo, or have a mannequin that is much better. I try to find a stock photo of everything I list, either thru google or other people’s listings on PM.

beachbumvb 2nd, the title should be exact. Brand and type of item. Ex: J Crew Tank Top, Big Star Skinny Jeans. You want the shopper to know exactly what the item is, and by who. When scrolling we don’t see the brand, so if it isn’t in the space because there are other words like “beautiful” or “gorgeous” are in the way. Save those words for the description box where you have all the space in the world.

beachbumvb Just a couple more..when taking your pics make sure nothing else is around to clutter it up. You can definitely add jewelry and shoes, anything to show how to style the item. But anything else should be removed so the only thing the shopper sees is what you want them to buy. Pic Collage is a free app and is fabulous for making a cover photo that has more than one shot. It is really helpful when you have something with a delicate design that a photo of the whole item doesn’t really pick up.

beachbumvb And finally, pricing. Before I list I search for the same item to see what others are listing it for. I check to see if it is NWT, NWOT, ect, then I see what the item has actually sold for. I settle on a price somewhere in the middle. Your booties are absolutely stunning, and come late summer you can list them for a much more fair price. If they were my size they would already be on their way here!

beachbumvb Awesome! You never know how someone is going to take it. One thing I did in the beginning was find a few closets that stood out to me, and I used them for inspiration. Also, when you get a chance read the FAQ’s, and then type in any type of question you can think of. A ton of info comes up. And of course, ask us questions!! The vast majority of us are more than happy to help out in any way possible.

beachbumvb @hshepherd808 glad I can help! I have gotten mannequins off Amazon and Ebay. I got plain ones, because while the ones with patterns on them are much prettier, they often detract from the item you are trying to sell. If your top or dress has a pattern, and the mannequin has a design on it, it can be too much. Just my opinion.
