korslover12 They took the listing down but they have over a hundred alias accounts selling fake purses. It doesn’t matter if people want to by fake designer , it’s still against the law, banned on Poshmark, and considered a felony by the law. When customs comes calling for them , they’ll do time for selling fake mdse. The buyers can be prosecuted too.

The maximum penalty for first time offenders trafficking and counterfeit goods is 10 years in prison and a $2 million fine for a second time offenders the penalty is 20 years and a $5 million fine in addition if a corporation traffics encounter fit good as it can be subject to a $15 million fine. They’re putting Poshmark at risk for a $15 million fine.

busylifewithrio @korslover12 yea I get it. I understand all of that, I’m just simply saying that they will never catch all the people that do it. + with the internet, all social media platforms, selling platforms, etc. + they can hide their identity and be taken down off of these platforms and they will just make a new account. It’s a never ending cycle. Plus let’s be honest the government isn’t really going after these people because they just don’t care that much.

busylifewithrio @korslover12 Now I’m sure that if they have a booth set up in a strip mall and they’re selling a lot and are physically there to surveillance the transaction and can make an arrest that way but it’s just a long the same as with drugs. You will never catch them all and there will always be new people behind them. Plus having people that want these fake designer bags because not everyone is rich and they don’t care that it’s fake as long as it looks nice.

busylifewithrio @korslover12 I mean I’m one of them, I would never and could never fathom paying that kind of money for a real Gucci or a real LV. + I think the “social standard” is a huge pressure also to have what’s “in” or “rich looking” or etc. it’s a shame because it does take away from the original real bags but it’s never going to end

korslover12 @busylifewithrio go to @amvet1969 and read his SCAM ALERT page … it’s not just fake bags being sold here. They are making a sale, printing the label and changing the address and shipping a empty box to a fake address. Then poshMark thinks it’s delivered and releases the funds while buyers trying to contact these fake accounts. Scammer gets paid buyer gets nothing but loses their money

I normally get on just to sell a box of stuff every few months & don’t really “know” all of these things but I guess it should be expected no matter which platform it is bc ive had it happen to me on Etsy b4

korslover12 @busylifewithrio Yes, it’s sad but it also ruins it for the rest of us. I’ve been a buyer and seller on here since 2014. People will lose confidence in the site …it really was the best site for protection. Probably still is but they need to hire someone that monitors this stuff. Scammers blocked me and I have to try to contact ppl individually to let them know I saved 7 ppl yesterday .

korslover12 @busylifewithrio One person was just 3 minutes away from not being able to cancel her order on the 3 hour time limit. I don’t have time to spend 16 hours a day contacting people and writing scam on their sites. They need to hire someone to monitor it!
