Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Cotton Skirt With Metallic Embroidery - France

Saint Laurent Rive Gauche late 1960's or early 1970's skirt. It measures waist 30" hips 38" length 32".  It does not have fabric composition labels. The fabric looks and feels like cotton with the exception of the metallic trim. There is seam pleating at the top, and a side zipper. The gold metallic hand embroidered accent is 7" wide. The style, zipper and label are all consistent with late sixties or early seventies era. The condition is good. It is a very nice example from the introductory Saint Laurent Rive Gauche line. A rare find. Made in France. Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche label was launched in 1966 in a bid to democratize fashion by creating a ready to wear label for the general population. They were considered to be the first major fashion house to advance this concept.
