@elliottc1963 we are so happy this item made it to you safely. It’s really a special piece for collectors of all sorts, not to mention, other than crazing, there’s hardly no damage.
These items are German made, and I do believe this piece was purchased in Germany and brought over here by a family who owned it and cherished it for at least two generations. I think it was purchased in Germany because there’s no import stamp or mark by an American retailer, also I know the original owner.

@elliottc1963 These items were made 20s-50s. I would date yours around 1940, based on the little I know about it. It’s highly collectible for its condition and charm. Any Dachshund fan is absolutely gonna love it!
