For the past 30 years we were the organizers of dressage shows and eventing horse trials on our property. Currently we run combined test derbies and cross country schoolings. ali65 I am.... NJ . Grew up in upstate NY, used to go riding a lot , last time I rode was at a wonderful place in GA... Wake up and see the horses from the cabin... And we had a cool guide... so we got to a gallop... Not a canter... Fell in love again. If you know of any places, please let me know! I'd be able to travel a bit 😍😍thank you !

othersideofrain @ali65 that's too funny, I ride at a barn in NJ! I'm from PA, suburbs of Philly, but I started working for Christine Calandra at Wildflowers Farm after a year off riding and ended up falling in love with the place and how she teaches. It's in Cranbury. Can't recommend it highly enough, best trainer I've had in almost 15 years. Other good places in PA are The George School for relatively inexpensive beginner through intermediate lessons, Duncraven if you're serious; Quiet Victory, Fox Heath, Buckingham Valley and Patty Miller Stables. I'm not sure of too many places that allow riders to just stop by and hop on, though - most are lesson programs. Hope that helps you out! Would love to get you riding again :)

ali65 Oh you r a sweety!! I'll take lessons, only reason they let me go out as a kid, I was going there every weekend from 9yrs old on... Then helped out... Kochise was" my" horse, and they eventually trusted me enough, around age 12 to let me go out on the trails by myself. God I loved that horse, she loved the peppermints I used to bring her! Thanks.... Gonna check them out for sure, up here again for my dad, he's ok, just needs a little assistance , so I'd love to get back into it! From Harley's.... Back to horses!😍😍😍😍

othersideofrain @flowersnmyheart isn't he so handsome?! His name is Flapjack, he's an off the track thoroughbred my barn owns. He's one of the coolest horses I've ever sat on. Such a great mind. That's so funny you rode as well! I feel like there's so many Posh equestrians, I love it ❤️ what kinds of horses did you own? ☺️
