I am attempting to pollinate a cactus flower by hand. This bloom fell off the cactus before it could open; the last time my cactus flowered was in 2018. I placed the bloom in water and it started opening at midnight but was not fully open until this morning. I am curious what will happen next.

how's this making out I believe you can treat these just as you would hands and chicks if I if I can remember correctly

@rlee73 I was surprised that this bloomed and the bulb at the base grew larger and floated in the water. I tried to fight off algae by changing the water out but after a month it stopped growing. I look forward to attempting this again in the future.
