1800's Mamluk Revival Vase

A Persian brass baluster vase Metal vase made of brass, with rich decoration, hammered and soldered in 3 parts. The outer surface is profusely decorated with engraving in bands of complex and rich Arabic calligraphy and floral-geometric patterns. Late 19th Century Also known as a Damascus Vase These hand made vases were made for the Victorian tourist trade. This was bought by my Great Grandfather on his "world trip" in the 1950's Multiple pictures in different lights provided in an attempt to give an accurate understanding of the real colours.
