18kg gold electroplated ring

Brand new. Still has the original retail sticker attached to it. Size 6. Cubic zirconia stones. Took it to a jeweler and upon examination was told its 18kg electroplated gold (K.G.E); meaning the outside layer is gold however the ring is not pure solid gold. Have had it for years in my drawer- it was NEVER worn. Shiny and in PERFECT condition. A tiny tear on the outside of the little box it comes in. Was quoted a $300 value.
